This is the three-step promotion I wrote for a dietary supplement called Superior Fiber Blend.

The client, E & M Nutritionals, wanted an initial web page that read like a special report and introduced the prospect to the health benefits of fiber in an intriguing manner.  Then, a link at the end of the page that took the prospect to a new page with a short poll.  This then lead the prospect to a sales page that promoted their fiber supplement.

Their purpose for taking this three step route was two-fold:

1. It allowed them to present some health claims about fiber in a page that was separate from the page contain - and selling - the actual product -- to ensure compliance with FDA rules regarding health claims in marketing materials
2. It let them take advantage of this necessary two-step claim separation by using it as an opportunity to gather more data about their prospects primary concerns and needs.

In the end this promotion ended up generating nearly a 2% sales conversion -- nothing extraordinary UNTIL you take into account that it ended up being distributed to a file comprised purely of heart health devotees, not fiber users.
